Internet banner

A window of various sizes containing advertising information, placed in various places on websites, in order to promote specific content.

An internet banner is a very popular form of internet advertising that can be found on actually every website. Its purpose is to inform the recipient, e.g. about the possibility of shopping on a specific website or using the advertised service.

In addition, it is a very convenient form of online advertising, as it most often contains a link to the advertised content, therefore, after clicking a given banner, the recipient will be transferred directly to the website of the promoted content.

There are different sizes of web banners that have been defined by the Internet Advertising Bureau - an association dedicated to digital marketing and the advertising ecosystem. Based on this, the web banner is 468 × 60 pixels, or 320 × 50 pixels.
